Roger brings to River Valley Websites more than 10 years of experience in various web technologies. He has been the web coordinator of design and technology at Kankakee Community College for the last two years where he has re-branded and maintained the colleges marketing site and has trained numerous staff and faculty on the use of the colleges’ content management system. Since he began at the college Roger has gained national recognition for the college by winning a Paragon® award through NCMPR ( National Council for Marketing and Public Relations) for building an interactive promotional CD-ROM to help brand the college’s message to its tech prep audience. Prior to this he was the webmaster for Optimum Nutrition for seven years where he built and maintained several e-commerce sites and web servers while training and managing several web designers. At that same company his SEO (Search Engine Optimization) increased traffic in excess of 50,000 users a month. Finally he has been a freelance web developer for 10 years working on several large and medium scale web design projects. He holds a B.F.A. in Fine Arts with an emphasis in New Media from Columbia College Chicago. He also has a certificate by the University of Illinois in best web practices as they pertain to web accessibility which he has full knowledge of compliance with 508 Federal and 504 ADA web accessibility standards.
